PR Ribbons
Good morning parents!
Each Wednesday after a meet, the ribbon boxes will be on deck for your swimmers to get any ribbons that they earned from the meet the Saturday before.
Swimmers who set a personal record (PR) will get a rainbow ribbon with a sticker on the back that tells them what event it was, their time and how much time they dropped off of their previous PR. In some cases, there will be no number after the dash. This could be for two reasons:
- It is the first time they swam that particular event. Maybe the first time ever, sometimes just the first time legally, as a DQ time does not count.
- As a returning Dolphin, it is the first time they have competed in that event this year but the system knows that it is a best time from previous seasons. The report that I run for PR labels unfortunately doesn't pull previous season time.
If you are curious to know your swimmers best times, log in to your account on the website, go to "My Account" and click on each swimmer's name for a list of their best times.
I hope this answers any questions about the information on those labels.
Go Dolphins!
Meredith
PS - Don't forget to RSVP for the June 23rd home meet! And while you are at it, order your team photos. Both are due this Friday, June 15th.
